The Event

Every August, the Edinburgh Arts Festival transforms one of the world's most beautiful cities, presenting three exhilarating weeks of the finest creators and performers from the worlds of the arts - for everyone.

Founded in 2004, Edinburgh Art Festival is Scotland's largest annual visual arts festival, showcasing a diverse and vibrant programme of visual arts exhibitions and events across museums, galleries and pop-up spaces the length and breadth of the city centre and beyond. Edinburgh Art Festival brings together new commissions, major solo exhibitions by the world's leading contemporary artists and the best local and international artistic talent, as well as an innovative series of events programmed throughout the Festival.
