The three original members of Wolf & Cub formed in 2002, buying cheap instruments and expensive pedals to create their adrenalised style of darkly psychedelic, danceable noise. They've since made huge inroads in the International music scene, releasing two EPs, thrashing themselves on the live circuit with the likes of Wolfmother and Queens of the Stone Age (handpicked by Josh Homme to support), signing with iconic UK label 4AD, launching their debut album Vessels and playing sold-out shows and festivals around the country. Their SOYA win was the deciding factor of getting the boys over to Japan to support Wolfmother. The following year was just as eventful with the replacement of their second drummer and their album scoring an ARIA nomination for Best Independent Release. Wolf & Cub are currently in the studio writing for their next release due mid-2008.
